Projects for youth- just one of many we support with community help
With the community and public help, our Lions Club provides support, sponsorship and donates to may causes. By modern technology we can reach out to a wider audience and hopefully provide more to those who deserve and need help. On this page we will provide a conduit to contribute direct to our secure projects account. All money donated using the bank account number provided will be put to the project you specify from the list. We are a registered Charitable Trust CC27759 and accounts are open for public scrutiny. Lions pay for their own administration so all money collected for charity is returned to charity. Only when fundraising via sausage sizzles, events and sales are the direct cost of any purchased/site items used, paid out. EG. Sausages, bread, gas etc and even then Lions and supporters often donate from own pockets. The list below contain links to many sites for more explanation on their aims,

NZ wide funding for Lions Clubs projects via LLoyd Morgan Lions Clubs Charitable Trust Quote: LMLCCT as cause in the donation box below.
This is an appeal for a lady who has been such a help to children of Lions Child Mobility Foundation. The CMF team have known Patricia for a lot of years and before she was originally diagnosed with cancer she did a lot of physio work for Hart Walker children. She has still been active in our project but had to give up travelling to the South Island because of her illness. She has been to the Auckland clinic hosted by Blockhouse Bay-Lynfield Lions a number of times and recommends children to Genny our co-ordinator, She has had a big battle with the disease and we are sorry to hear her tumors have grown and the battle is even bigger and of course very expensive
So we are mounting this appeal on our web page to help, this one can be paid direct to the appeal bank account as described below. News flash from the Patric ‘fun raising’ team
$166 per pill!!!!
Bad news...Patric just found out her tumours are growing. Good news...There is a new drug on the market recommended by her oncologist that can help stop the cancer growth. This new drug is called Ibrance and you can find out more about it here
Bad news…in NZ it isn't funded by Pharmac. This means Patric and Adrian need to find $5000 per month to pay for the drugs. Good news.... if we all chip in a little bit we can help her pay for it.
Patric needs to take this drug every day for at least a year.
She will take this in conjunction with her Gerson therapy.
This drug is showing great results.
Pharmac may fund it in the future (they just started funding it in Ozzie very recently) but we can't wait... Patric needs it NOW!
We are appealing to all friends and family of Patric and Adrian, both here and overseas, to make a small monthly contribution… whatever they feel comfortable with and can afford. If lots of us contribute a small amount it soon adds up. This will help hugely to lessen the financial burden on Patric and Age to buy this literally lifesaving pill. Every little bit helps J. (As a guideline if it’s helpful, we on the ‘fun raising’ committee have committed to each donating $50 per month).
Patric has a bank account specifically for contributions to this medication.... contributed money will be used just to fund this drug (no taking it to the casino Adrian!!! Xxx) The NZ bank account details are: 38-9012-0727312-07 Patric will send out monthly updates to let you all know how she is progressing.
We are not using ‘give a little page’ as they now take a 5 percent commission and we would rather use all the money we can raise to buy the drugs.
Individuals may want to organise other fund raising events which is great. We would love anyone who feels like doing this to go for it. Our idea of small monthly donations is an easy way, for anyone who wants to, to contribute which doesn't require too much organising.
If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact the 'Fun Raising' committee... Poll, Craig, Susannah and Scotty. Patric, Adrian and their fun raising team are all very grateful for your support.
Where mentioned please make donations via internet banking direct to: BHBL Lions acc no 03 0118 0032075 004 with your Surname+Initial, Cause/Project and any unique number which you choose and enter below.
