ENTRY SAFETY CONDITIONS
Walk Date: Sunday 20 October 2019
LOG IN FROM 9am to 9.50am cut off for start line up Walk Start Time: 10 am for 20 (optional) laps of school grounds (Each lap is .5 k) Be there in time to park and log in from 9am to 9.50am
Parking behind library, Blockhouse Bay Rd and side streets. Mobility Vans and Handicapped permit vehicles only, special parking in school grounds. Please request pass when registering on line and this will be sent to you.
The walk is open to all. Individuals or groups. 20 laps of the grounds is the aim, but any distance completed is a victory. A special hard surface mini course for mobility aid reliant persons.

SAFETY: It is condition of entry for all entrants in this event, their guardians and their supporters to read these guidelines notice, agree and comply with its stipulations. It is also their responsibility to familiarise themselves with the event course and all its hazards, including those not mentioned here. Please inform all on your entry form and supporters of their responsibility to comply.
Primary Responsibility: You are responsible for your own health and safety during the event plus all others entered under your name. By entering this event, you agree to a statement of understanding to this effect and is binding. All entrants should only undertake to participate in this event if they believe that they are fit to do so, or confirmed by a doctor. It is your responsibility to ensure all on your entry are of good health. At no stage of this event should you or they engage in activity that would threaten your own health, safety and the safety of other people. You must obey Lions appointed and identifiable marshals, at all times.
Safe Conduct During the Event: Please be cautious on the course where grass and path’s are uneven or potentially slippery. This is a “round the grounds event” and conditions will vary. Check conditions on the day and act accordingly for your own safety. All entrants must wear shoes.
Look Out for Fellow Competitors: Slower walkers, please keep left at all times to allow faster or more able walkers to pass on the right.
Please give assistance where fellow walkers are in need of help. Personnel will be on hand for first aid during the event and marshals will assist you contact them. Or go to start/finish line where Lions will assist you get aid.
Supporters and Spectators: Please do not accompany the runners and walkers at any stage during the event. You are welcome to make yourself comfortable at points clear of the walk circuit, or at the race start/finish and stalls area as you await the arrival of your athlete.
Drink Stations: Water will be available at aid stations positioned at around the course.
Spot Prizes: This is a fun walk for charity, there is no winners or losers but spot prizes will be drawn. Every entrant will go in the draw at the walk’s conclusion (subject to the majority of entrants having finished) and throughout the remaining time until noon. The entrant must be on site and prize claimed within 5 minutes of first call.
